I'm sure you were ecstatic with that game O_o Colts have shown a tendency many times to completely blow up in the playoffs and lose the first game. Will that happen this year? Who knows. I'd think its about 50/50 with them meeting up or not meeting up come playoff time.

Belichick made some bad calls in the Super Bowl, but nothing was as bad as this call. Defense stopped the Colts many times in this game. Its demoralizing for him to show no faith in them and blow the game like that.

yeah, I don't get why anyone in their right mind would give Peyton Manning 30 yards instead of 70 yards. Reminds me of the Texas/USC Rose Bowl when Pete Carroll made the same decision.

Which game are you talking about? The Steelers game?

Pats did quite good and showed that they can not only compete with but beat the Colts in there, but unfortunately blew it all with a single horrific call, worst in Belichick's career. Guess we'll just have to wait for the inevitable playoff meeting now, which will of course be in Indy now. Although there's always the Colts knack to be one and done which could prevent that.

Last year the defense just collapsed with penalties, and then that one year Tony Dungy's son died, so I wouldn't say that it's a problem with the team. Anyway, the Colts still look like the team to beat when they're healthy this year.

but yeah that was a retarded decision. Almost as retarded as Belichek completely dropping the ball on the last drive of that Giants Super Bowl when they had 2 timeouts. I could not have been more happy to see them lose that year.

*sobs* congrats to you. It blows the mind that Belichick would call that 4th down play. Worst call of his career. Unbelievable. :( Gotta keep telling myself "its just a game!" "Its just a game!".

thanks! I honestly didn't think they'd win once Peyton threw that 2nd pick, but wow. I'm just as shocked as everyone else is. I honestly didn't see him going for it, or using those 2 timeouts, but I'm not complaining! I would feel bad for you if I didn't hate the Pats so much =P

haha I had to teach myself that "it's just a game" at the innocent young age of 11 after the whole Grady Little disaster =( I can take any loss now thanks to that loser. but don't get too upset, this is only a regular season game, and it's not like you're going to miss the playoffs or anything.

Pats started the game off on fire, they've been turning it over in the endzone lately though. Fumblerony just coughed it up. -_-

Weren't the Colts undefeated when they played the Pats that season? I'm sure the latest time ever in the season where two undefeated teams were playing each other. I remember the Dallas game that season was a big deal at the time too and they were both like 4-0 or 5-0 at the time. Pats & Colts are for sure the best rivalry in the NFL. The Jets and Fins can't hold a candle to the Colts, and the Bills? *laughs* I'm sure you feel the same about the South Division doormats. :P

You're 100% right, their defense looked horrible during the season, then during the postseason suddenly completely morphed into a great one. Bob Sanders dominates the game, and I for one am very happy he won't be playing on Sunday ^_^

Manning really turned it around in that game after that pick 6 to Asante Samuel. All the credit to the world to him for that, although he didn't too good in the other games. The Bears were absolutely pathetic. :P

Yeah, I think they were undefeated when they played the Pats, now that you mention it.

I actually don't hear too much about the AFC South supposed rivalries since I live in Philly, but yeah, none of them are anywhere near as big rivals as the Pats are. Tennessee is a pretty good rival most years, but Houston and Jacksonville? No way.

Yeah, the Bears were pathetic, and the Colts just played a way better game in all aspects. They didn't even really need Peyton to dominate, but he did pretty good anyway. He did dominate when they really needed him to, though, and they beat the Pats! ^_^ the real winner of the Super Bowl was going to be the team that won that game, though, because no way Rex Grossman was going to win a Super Bowl.
